Meeting point: Along district road 15 between Burbach-Holzhausen and Haiger-Flammersbach; coming from Holzhausen, turn immediately right onto the gravel path just after the railway underpass.

Hauberg forestry has always been closely linked to the Siegerland region. This excursion will take us to various forest areas with different management histories and development perspectives. We will explore the history of Hauberg forestry, its value for modern forest conservation, and get to know the special animal species inhabiting these habitats.

We will walk a circular route of approximately 6 km with moderate inclines. Please wear sturdy footwear.
