Even this early summer, the Wetterbach Valley near Holzhausen is a fascinating and highly worthwhile destination for a morning bird song walk, where both beginners and advanced birdwatchers can see and hear the local birds. The focus will be on species that are otherwise very rare in the Siegerland region.

The Wetterbach Valley, largely consisting of wet meadow fallows and moist or wet meadows and pastures, still hosts rare meadow bird species such as the Whinchat and the Meadow Pipit. With a bit of luck, other highlights may include the Kingfisher, Red Kite, Eurasian Grasshopper Warbler, Red-backed Shrike, Cuckoo, or Stonechat. Getting up early will be worth it, as more than two dozen bird species can be expected to be observed.

Free event. NABU appreciates donations!

After the excursion, there will be a shared coffee gathering at the "Alte Schule."

Additional information: Please bring binoculars and weatherproof clothing.
