Hidden from most people, many impressive nocturnal insects, such as moths, go about their lives at night. Using a “light trap,” we will attract these insects in the dark. In a diverse and small-scale habitat like the Buchhellerquell area, many different insects find suitable living conditions, including moths such as the Emperor Moth.

During this workshop, the species present will be identified with the help of field guides and explanations provided by an expert, giving participants an insight into the diversity of nocturnal moth species.

Additional information: If available, please bring field guides, magnifying glasses, and insect nets.
